Banglaore – World Environment Day at Chamrajpet

Brahmakumaris Chamarajpet had organized World Environment Day on 06.06.19, Thursday.  Saalumarada Thimmakka, aged 107 years  was the special guest of the event, who is  an Indian environmentalist from the state of Karnataka, noted for her work in planting and tending to 385 banyan trees in a four-kilometers stretch in highway between Hulikal and Kudur in Karnataka. She has also planted nearly 8000 other trees. Govt. has recognised her services with Padmashree award from our honourable president Sri Ramnath Kovind.

Sri. Sridhar, President of Kannada Sahitya Parishat, Smt. Kokila Chandrashekar Corporator, Chamrajpet were part of the event.  Speaker, B K Manjunath Bai and Rajayogini B K Padma ji, (Subzonal Director, Bangalore City) have given inspirational speech about importance of nature to the participants.

Participants were gifted with  flower pots to make their life like flowers.

All participatns & special guest together planted a Sapling  in front of the Centre on the occasion  of World Environment Day.

United Nations has congratulate Bangalore T Dasarahalli, Karnataka, India center for participating in World Environment Day celebration and planting trees to beat air pollution.
